Final Smash Blue Falcon
Tier A+ (11)

Captain Falcon is a veteran starter character in Super Smash Wink two. Like in the Super Boom Bros. series, he is once again the only character representation of the F-Zero franchise. His sprites are custom-made and based on his appearance in Super Boom Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. His moveset is taken straight from Brawl and so are his voice clips.

Captain Falcon is ranked 11th out of 47 on the current tier list, placing him in the A+ tier. Captain Falcon possesses fast attacks, a great grab game, and very useful aerials, which gives him i of the best philharmonic games in the entire cast. He also has the second fastest dashing speed, skillful walking speed, and bang-up air speed, giving him amazing mobility. He has the ability to recover over big horizontal distances past extending his recovery with Falcon Kick to restore his midair jump. He as well has powerful finishers in his forward nail, downwards smash, back aerial, down aerial, Knee joint Boom, Falcon Swoop, and his signature move, Falcon Punch.

Notwithstanding, Captain Falcon is highly vulnerable to combos and concatenation grabs, thanks to a combination of high falling speed and an above-average weight. He has difficulty in dealing with the long range, due to both his lack of a projectile motility and his difficulty in dealing with other characters' projectiles. He has a very difficult time approaching fighters who outrange him, whether it be a close-ranged swordsman (like Lloyd or Marth) or a projectile specialist (like Link or Samus). Captain Falcon also has problem recovering, due to Falcon Dive not being able to grab opponents who stay on the ledge and covering a mediocre vertical, thus making him vulnerable to ledge hogging.

Captain Falcon has a stiff player base and has strong representation in online tournaments. Captain Falcon unremarkably takes high spots in tournaments where his placements are consistent.

Captain Falcon returns to his playstyle in Melee with a few additions from Brawl. He is one of the fastest characters in the game, possessing the 2d fastest dashing speed, the 5th fastest walking speed and one of the fastest air speeds, giving Captain Falcon amazing mobility overall. Even though Captain Falcon lacks a projectile, his great mobility gives him great approaching options. He has nifty finishers in his forward blast, downward nail, a sweet spotted forward aeriform, his dorsum aerial, down aeriform, Falcon Dive, and the Falcon Punch.

Captain Falcon possesses a decent grab game, with his forward, up and downwards throws being able to be used as chain grabs or outset his combos. Although his take hold of range is not incredible, his amazing dash speed allows Captain Falcon to easily punish opponent'south mistakes with grabs, making his take hold of game 1 of the most threatening. Captain Falcon's groovy combo power lies in his fantabulous SHFFL, his adept catch game and attacks that concatenation well into each other.

His high accelerated falling speed and to a higher place-average weight make him hard to KO until college percents, which gives him great survivability.

All the same, these attributes, combined with his tall frame, leave him vulnerable to combos and concatenation grabs. Still, some combos that work on other fast-fallers, such equally the spacie slayer or Pikachu's downward throw chain grab, are not guaranteed to work on Helm Falcon considering his slim frame allows him to DI out and escape under certain scenarios. Falcon is susceptible to getting poked because his shield's size is not adjusted to recoup for his alpine height, giving him poor coverage.

When dealing with high-priority projectiles or characters with good spacing tools, Captain Falcon has issues approaching.

His recovery, though perfectly functional, is predictable and easy to border guard against, leaving him vulnerable to gimps. Falcon Swoop or Raptor Boost tin not grab or knock opponents off the ledge, which makes him very susceptible to edge hogging. Falcon Dive besides covers mediocre vertical distance which makes it difficult for Captain Falcon to recover from sure heights, although it has a large take hold of box. Notwithstanding, getting a successful meteor blast with Raptor Boost volition not put Falcon into a helpless land, which volition allow him to recover.

Overall, Captain Falcon is a character focused on speed and power, and can reward players who can handle such power and speed. All the same, his predictable recovery and high lag keep him from the high tiers.
